Following rumours that she was under medical monitoring, Queen Elizabeth II passed away last Thursday (September 8), according to the announcement made at her Balmoral residence.

The globe responded to the passing of the oldest and longest-reigning British monarch, who passed away in Scotland at the age of 96.

During one of her first official appearances following her accession, Her Majesty made her first trip to Dacorum in 1952.

On Adeyfield Estate, one of the first families to settle in the area, she met Adam’s family.

Her Majesty visited St. Barnabas Church in Adeyfield and was captured on camera laying the cornerstone.

In May 2016, the Queen visited St. Peter’s Church in Berkhamsted and was greeted by large throngs of people eager to see her.

The late Queen attended a celebration celebrating Berkhamsted School’s 475th anniversary in 2016, becoming the first reigning monarch to do so.

Over the Platinum Jubilee weekend in June, street celebrations were held as the borough commemorated Her Majesty’s 70 years in power.

The Queen’s period of lying in state will come to an end, and her body will be transported from the Palace of Westminster to Westminster Abbey, where a state funeral service will be held at 11 a.m.

The Queen will thereafter be laid to rest at a committal service with her family in the St. George’s Chapel of Windsor Castle.

Politicians and government representatives have also arrived at Westminster Abbey in preparation for the state burial for the Queen.

Around 125 movie theatres, a number of cathedrals, and a large screen in Holyrood Park in front of the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh all showed live coverage of the funeral.
