Discussing The Jeffrey Epstein Case

Jeffrey Epstein was an American financier and convicted sex offender. Epstein, who was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York City, began his professional life by teaching at the Dalton School in Manhattan.

Attorney Ron Herman was featured on the August 14 broadcast of CBS 12 news offering his thoughts on the investigation into the late Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged sex trafficking ring.

Sex trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery in which individuals perform commercial sex through the use of force, fraud, or coercion.

The in-depth News Team Coverage included an extensive interview of Herman due to his “years of experience with sex crime cases as both a prosecutor and defence attorney.”

While prosecutors are continuing their investigation, Herman explained that the criminal charges against Epstein will be dismissed due to his death.

New York City’s chief medical examiner determined the death was a suicide.

Herman explained that Epstein will continue to enjoy the presumption of innocence in the eyes of the law because his attorneys had entered a not guilty plea prior to his death.

Nonetheless, alleged victims of Epstein’s sex crimes have other legal remedies, such as civil claims against his estate.

Criminal cases against Epstein’s associates may also still be possible. As a former prosecutor in the coveted Crimes Against Children Unit, Herman was tapped for his legal analysis of the issues in this high profile case.
