What Is HubSpot? We Explain Here

An American company called HubSpot creates and sells software for inbound marketing, sales, and customer care. Brian Halligan and Dharmesh Shah created HubSpot in 2006.

In order to provide tools for customer relationship management, social media marketing, content management, lead generation, online analytics, search engine optimisation, live chat, and customer support, it offers these products and services.

Revenues for the business increased from $255,000 in 2007 to $15.6 million in 2010. Later on in the year, HubSpot purchased Oneforty, Laura Fitton’s Twitter app store.

Additionally, the business unveiled new tools for customising websites for each visitor. Forbes reports that HubSpot initially catered to small firms but “grew rapidly upscale to serve larger businesses of up to 1000 employees.”

Record revenue

They sold shares for $25 each in order to generate more than $140 million. Since then, the price of the stock has skyrocketed, reaching an all-time high of $841.26 on November 12, 2021. In 2021, the corporation recorded $1 billion in revenue.

Axios announced in February 2021 that HubSpot would be purchasing The Hustle, a content and email newsletter start-up targeted at entrepreneurs and small business owners.

HubSpot named Yamini Rangan as its new CEO in September 2021, replacing Brian Halligan, who left the position to become Executive Chairman of the business.

Additionally, there are third-party services like extensions and template. HubSpot also provides online resource academies and consultancy services for mastering inbound marketing strategies. Additionally, it organises user group meetings, inbound marketing events, and certification courses. It has been dubbed “a prolific developer of information” and promotes its inbound marketing ideas through its own advertising. This includes blogs, social media, webinars, and white papers.

Published reviews

According to a review published in CRM Search in 2012, HubSpot wasn’t the greatest business solution in every category, but when viewed as a whole, it was the finest “marketing solution” that brought together a variety of technologies into one bundle. It included the sophistication of HubSpot’s call to action tool, its online ecosystem, and its “ease of use” as its “strengths.”

The assessment noted that it was lacking advanced capabilities like business process management tools to control workflow and that the absence of customisation and design tools could be restrictive.

Boston is normally where the event takes place. HubSpot had its largest conference yet in 2019, with a record-breaking over 26,000 visitors from 110 different nations. Speaking at their events since then have been celebrities including Oprah Winfrey, Michelle Obama, Tig Notaro, and Issa Rae.

The Boston Business Journal named HubSpot as one of the “Best Places to Work.” The Boston Globe named HubSpot the best large company to work for in Massachusetts. CNBC ranked HubSpot seventh on its list of the best workplaces. In 2020, Glassdoor named HubSpot the best place to work.
