Over 25 years experience in Project Management, Operational and Integrity Management for both upstream and downstream E&P companies. Experienced in EOR High Integrity, harsh environment, offshore and new technology (eg FLNG) projects. Worked in various locations around the world including UK, Europe, USA, Russia and Middle and Far East. Acted as contract manager for a wide range high technically complex contacts, including national security, and managing international and multi cultural teams. Relocated to Oman in 2006.

About Us:

Ops Excellence formed in 2001 as a UK Company supporting clients such as: BP, SIEP, Shell Global Solution International, Sakhalin Energy Investment Company, SPDC, PDO, AGIP KCO etc.

In 2004 we relocated to the Sultanate of Oman with headquarters in Muscat and we became 100% fully registered Omani Company in 2006.

This enabled Ops Excellence LLC to provide systems and support in the following areas:

– Project Management
– Cost Management and Quantity Surveying.
– Construction Advisory Services

The working agreement with KLM Partnership, a UK based Practice of Chartered Surveyors developed in 2006, in response to growing globalisation and the increasing demands of our clients.

The Practice can trace its roots back to 1890 and prides itself on its dedication to customer care and leading edge service provision.

In 2011, Ops Excellence LLC gained RICS accreditation to trade as “Chartered Surveyors” for all their business ventures.

Ops Excellence LLC now operate in Oman, GCC states, Europe, Japan, Indonesia and Australia.

Gary Crutchley

Gary joined the Practice as a cadet quantity surveyor in 1978 and was appointed a Director in 1986. He is responsible for the delivery of risk management services to financial institutions and Cost Management of projects for a range of private school, health and leisure clients. Gary is a highly skilled cost planner renowned for his attention to detail and capacity to research solutions on projects that may have unique design issues. In recent times Gary has successfully cost planned projects as diverse as heritage facilities, foot bridges and butterfly enclosures.

He is also responsible for maintaining our Quality Assurance and Information Technology systems within the office and is a former Chapter Councillor and President of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (Vic).

Steve Turner

Steve trained and qualified as a Quantity Surveyor and Cost Manager, but has considerable experience in both Project Management and Construction Management. Successfully completed projects include many fast-track programmes particularly in the food and drinks industry working closely with process or production engineers often on operational sites.

In recent years Project Management work has included a number of challenging projects for Blue Chip Clients requiring specialist innovation and application in the project delivery to achieve a successful outcome.

Steve has considerable experience of whole life costs and life cycle cost models particularly for PFI projects and also specialist capital allowances skills for calculating qualifying costs for plant and machinery allowances.
In his spare time Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and family, walking and watching sports rather than participating in sports these days. Steve also enjoys restoring old buildings and appreciates good architecture and traditional craftsmanship.
