Printondemand-worldwide is solely owned by Andy Cork who is a ‘hands on’ Managing Director. Andy entered the print industry when he worked as an estimator for the implant International Computers Ltd (now Fujitsu) in the late ’80s where he was sponsored to study printing technology at Watford College and went on to achieve a masters in world class manufacturing. Drawing experience from the production models within the car industries of Japan and the USA he went on to implement the ‘just in time’ techniques to the book printing industry by forming Copytech (UK) Ltd (trading as

Andy puts the emphasis on bespoke solutions at Printondemand-worldwide. Understanding what the customer needs today and in the future has driven Andy’s business approach to innovation, diversification and all whilst conducting day-to-day business in an environmentally friendly manner.

Customer Services:

Over the last 12 months we have seen a lot of growth in our business and so there has been a focus on growing our Account Management team to ensure we deliver high levels of customer care to you. Our Account Managers are all based in our Peterborough print plant and always endeavour to respond to your emails and enquiries within 24 hours.

The Digital Printer Awards 2015
In November 2015 we won the Digital Print Award for the Environment. The Digital Printer Awards are highly prestigious and recognised as one of the industry’s most illustrious honours and a celebration of the excellence of UK digital printing industry.

East of England Business Champions 2015
In October 2015 we were awarded the Cambridge Business Champion 2015 for the second year running. PODW then went on to win the Green Award 2015 for our environmental achievements in printing, paper sourcing and global logistics.

The awards seek to recognise the achievements of SME business’ across Cambs, Norfolk, Suffolk and Herts in fifteen categories ranging from Best New Business to Service Excellence and Training and Development.

FSC® and PEFC chain-of-custody
Being FSC & PEFC certified means that we are in the position to manufacture and supply products whose raw materials are sourced from sustainable forests.

Our compliance to these standards is measured by an independent third party accreditor to ensure that we are constantly updating out training and procedures in order to remain compliant.

Investors in the Environment (IiE)
Investors in the Environment is a not-for-profit environmental accreditation scheme. It provides the help and support necessary to help businesses become more environmentally friendly whilst also saving them money.

We have worked with Investors in the Environment to achieve their Green Accreditation, the highest accreditation they offer, equivalent to BS8555 level 1.

Peterborough Skills Vision
In 2012 we pledged to support the Peterborough Skills Vision. The Peterborough Skills Vision aims to enhance our local workforce to ensure growth for businesses and the city. It is a commitment to developing the skills of our employees and working together to create an environment in which everyone can succeed.

As platinum members of the British Printing Industries Federation (BPiF) we are supported by the principal organisation for UK print and have access to expert consultancy on topics such as quality, HR, insurance, legislation and the environment. We are also members of the Direct Marketing Association, adhering to their practices and terms and conditions to the highest standard possible.

Breeam premises
In January 2008 we moved into our newly built BREEAM premises.

The core aim of BREEAM is to reduce the embodied and operational environmental impact of building, including but not limited to the build itself, CO2 emissions, location of transport links, thermal comfort and water usage.

East of England Business Champions 2011
In late 2011 we won the Resource Efficiency category at the East of England Business Champion Awards. This is a huge honour as it showcases just how proud and committed we are to reduce the impact on the environment. Needless to say we’re tickled green!

Océ UK Award for Digital Innovation
In March 2011 we were awarded the Océ UK Award for Digital Innovation, embracing the installation of the Océ VarioPrint 6320 and 6250 machines.

This allows us to print royal size books 4-up per sheet of paper and means we save using an estimated 4 tonnes of paper per year!

The Digital Printer Awards Nominated
We were proud to be nominated for two categories at The Digital Printer Awards 2013 and 2014. In 2013 we were nominated in both the Books and Digital and the Environment categories. In 2014, we have been nominated for two categories; Best Use of Variable Data and Books. We’ve got everything crossed in the hope of winning our nominated categories.

Printondemand-worldwide has now been trading for two decades, proudly making us one of the UK’s longest established, award winning, digital book and journal printers.

Our high-speed sheet and web-fed digital printing presses eliminate the need for plates, storage and wastage associated with traditional offset book and journal printing. In 2015 we invested in state-of-the-art inkjet presses and automation systems as part of our continued commitment to technology and the Lean manufacturing ethos.

Environmental concerns continue as a priority. Printondemand-worldwide has policies that keep us at the forefront of ‘green’ printing, pro-actively addressing the issues facing the printing and publishing industries at the moment, including waste, shipping, handling and transport.

What Do We Do:

High-quality, perfect-bound, wiro/spiral or notch-bound books, printed in black and white or in full colour, are manufactured at our fully FSC certified production hub for distribution around the world.

Digital quantities range from as low as one copy up to 2,000 copies competitively.

We offer affordable, high-quality digital printing for both books and journals including colour insert sections on coated papers. Colour sections can be inserted throughout the publication and on a wide variety of paper stocks.
