Peter Hale

Peter Hale’s technical specialisations are in communications and control systems. Having a naval engineering background, he also practices in the fields of mechanics and thermodynamics. Peter has particular experience of large patent portfolio management, contentious patent proceedings in the UK courts and at the European Patent Office, and IP due diligence exercises. He also advises clients on policing their patent rights and licensing negotiations. He has been responsible for patent filing programmes for multinational companies and many smaller clients for whom intellectual property is a key aspect of the company value. The collaborative relationships Peter builds with his clients around the world have delivered creative and informed patent strategies in some challenging commercial environments in which patents are a vital commercial tool.
