Gareth Saunders

Global Marketing Director at Phaidon International.

I am responsible for leading the global creation and implementation of marketing activities that enhance the image and positioning of Phaidon International and all it’s brands among current and potential clients/candidates, internal staff, the recruitment industry and wider network.

Phaidon International:

Phaidon International is the parent company of five award winning micro-specialist recruitment brands. We value our clients and help them to grow by finding rare, senior, business-critical talent through a model of long term partnership and thorough understanding of our verticals.

We are a values-based company and are passionate about what we do. Ability, character and loyalty are at the heart our strong, meritocratic, organic culture. This has ensured over 90% of our leadership gained promotion from within. We are relentless in finding and then ensuring smart people with choices join our clients. This has enabled us to achieve sustained superior financial performance by consistently delivering results for our clients and ourselves.

Last year we helped over 1,800 professionals make permanent, interim and fixed-term career moves across 60 countries. Approximately 50% of this talent held a Masters, PHD or above and 90% a Bachelor or above, their average salary being above $USD 100,000 per annum.

Our integrated network of 8 global hubs ensures our specialist consultants within each brand can identify the right talent for you from a local, regional, and global perspective. They have a unique understanding of their market in the context of their area of niche specialism. This, combined with an excellent appreciation of a selection process assessing behavioural, competency and cultural fit ensures superior results.

80% of the candidates we helped move last year were proactively approached by us.  Of these, about 40% were not considering a career move until we presented them with an ideal opportunity. Where these Professionals embraced the career opportunity, nearly 50% relocated either regionally or internationally, a reflection of the global nature of the STEM landscape.
