Firm Overview:

Washington Group and Associates founding partners are alumni of Washington University School of Law in St. Louis. They were brought together with a shared belief in the legal system proposed by two great American jurists, Roscoe Pound and Richard Posner.

Pound served as the dean of Harvard Law School in 1916 and is the founder of the movement for sociological jurisprudence which advocates that lawyers should serve as social engineers who can reconcile the various interests of society.  Posner currently serves as the Judge for Federal Seventh Circuit Court of United States as well as being an adjunct professor at the Chicago Law School since 1969.

He is the most well-known scholar in the study of economic analysis of law and has written over 40 books emphasising the relationship between the legal rules and economic efficiency. He argues that by using economic approach to study the legal system, legal rules will then enhance the economic efficiency. These two great jurists’ arguments are different from that of traditional lawyers.

Their theory broadens the vision and mind of the legal professionals, and such beliefs enlighten and guide their spirits.  Our attorneys strive to make use of their professional knowledge to assist the parties to resolve disputes in the most efficient way and to build an invisible social order. By doing so, we can attain the goal which aims to reconcile the interests of all sectors in the society with their best interests.
