Ernest John Agius was appointed Chief Operations Officer in May 2016. His previous position within the Bank was that of Change Management Executive, setting up of the Change Management Function, which incorporates Process Management.
Ernest’s career in the financial services spans more than 29 years where he has held a number of senior executive positions. As Chief Operations Officer, Ernest is responsible for the management and delivery of change projects within the Bank. This includes the Core Banking Transformation Project across the whole Bank. Ernest will be responsible for the management of all operational functions and the delivery of the BOV’s overall transformation programme.
