Hogan Lovells law firm is pleased to announce that Mochamad Kasmali will be joining the Hogan Lovells DNFP office in Jakarta as a Corporate and Finance partner in the Infrastructure, Energy, Resources and Projects practice.

Hogan Lovells is an American-British law firm co-headquartered in London and Washington, D.C. It was formed in 2010 by the merger of the American law firm Hogan & Hartson and the British law firm Lovells.

Mochamad has held both in-house and private practice executive roles and most recently was Managing Partner with one of the leading Indonesian domestic firms.

Jakarta, Indonesia’s massive capital, sits on the northwest coast of the island of Java. A historic mix of cultures – Javanese, Malay, Chinese, Arab, Indian and European – has influenced its architecture, language and cuisine.

Mochamad is a mining and oil and gas specialist with more than 23 years of experience acting for clients in the energy and resources, mining, power and environmental sectors, on a wide range of corporate matters, including employment.

The old town, Kota Tua, is home to Dutch colonial buildings, Glodok and the old port of Sunda Kelapa, where traditional wooden schooners dock.

He has advised on some of the biggest infrastructure and mergers and acquisitions in Indonesia and for some of the biggest mining companies in the world, including Newmont and BHP.
