Paula Ling is a Senior Partner of Rato, Ling, Lei & Cortés – Advogados (Lektou), where she has been since 1993, holding the same position for ZLF Law Office, a first partnership-like joint law firm in Hengqin, Guangdong Province, formed by law firms from Hong Kong, Macau and Mainland China. She is also a Private Notary and China Attesting Officer and a cross-border Macau Lawyer recognized by the Justice Department of Guangdong.

Paula is an appointed member of the National People’s Congress of People’s Republic of China since 2008. She is also a Member of the Committee for the Basic Law of the Macau S.A.R. since 1999, under the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress. Paula is an Arbitrator for the Zhuhai Arbitration Committee, the Commission on International Commercial Arbitration of the South of China and of the Arbitration Center of the Macau World Trade Center.

Other activities include being a member of the Selection Committee of the Chief Executive of the Macau S.A.R., Vice-president of the Advisory Council on Legal Reform and a member of the Monitoring Committee on Discipline of the Macau Commission against Corruption.
