Apicksha specialises in infrastructure and energy finance in Africa, Europe and the Middle East. She has over 12 years of experience in the transport, renewable energy, healthcare, education and accommodation sectors.
Abundant natural resources, an evolving infrastructure sector, expanding corporate finance markets, and a population expected to double by 2050, make Africa an exciting market for our clients.
Our pan-African practice spans 50 partners and more than 150 lawyers across four continents. This team includes individuals from common and civil law cultures who understand the different legal jurisdictions and languages across Africa. We are unusual in having worked in almost every one of these jurisdictions.
Connectivity into and within the region is vital. Thanks to regional hubs in South Africa, the UK, France, the Middle East and China, we have the right team for our clients’ needs – from Chinese and Gulf outbound-investment or project advice to Francophone or Arabic-speaking Africa-related assistance. We also have strong relationships with preferred national and local law firms, clients, intermediaries and professional advisors, regulatory bodies and governments.
Much of our work in Africa relates to infrastructure finance and development. We provide an ‘entire project lifecycle’ service, supporting those who have a hand in designing, building, delivering, supplying, operating or maintaining Africa’s major infrastructure assets. As market leaders in developing investment models, particularly involving public/ private partnerships, we have used our expertise to help bring private capital and technical improvements to many power and transport projects in Africa. We are proud to be part of making possible the financing and growth of vital infrastructure on this continent.
