Mustafa Tırtır

Mustafa Tırtır graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 1999. He completed his legal internship in the law firm of Prof. Köksal Bayraktar, his professor from university. He registered to the bar in 2000 and later on did short-time military service in Balıkesir. He then worked as a lawyer at Prof. Köksal Bayraktar’s law firm until 2011 when he set up his own firm. The same year he was admitted to the Istanbul Commerce University graduate program on public law. He graduated from İstanbul Commerce University in 2005. The same year he was atmitted to the İstanbul Medipol University on public law Ph.D. program.

Mustafa Tırtır started consultancy services at Aksan Law Firm as the head of the criminal law department. He is a member of the Ideal Hukuk Editorial Board and an attorney of trademark and patent law. He has over 30 articles on criminal legislation, as well as criminal law in relation to the press and visual media. Mustafa Tırtır has been working in the field of criminal law for over 16 years.

Müge Önal Başer

Av. Müge Önal Başer, LL.M., was graduated from TED Ankara College Foundation Private High School in 1997. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Law at Ankara University Faculty of Law in 2002 and her Master’s Degree in Law at Tulane University Law School (USA) in 2005.

Having started her career with Çakmak Attorney Partnership as Intern Lawyer first and then as Attorney at Law, Önal Başer thereafter worked at White & Case, Washington, DC as Foreign Attorney, at Zorlu Holding A.Ş. as Attorney at Law and Manager of Legal Affairs for the Energy Group, at Esin Attorney Partnership as Counsel and at LUKOIL Eurasia Petrol A.Ş. as Head of Legal for Eurasia Region, respectively.

For over a period of 15 years, while rendering consultancy services to her local clients, Müge Önal Başer has also been performing advisory services on corporate legal issues and international practices for her international clients from various sectors and different regions such as Europe, the US, Russia, the Middle East and the Far East.

Önal Başer, who is the founder of Müge Önal Legal Consultancy, specializes in corporate law, contracts law, energy law and law & technology. Since 2016, she renders advice to her clients through Müge Önal Legal Consultancy. She is registered to Ankara Bar Association and the Union of Turkish Bar Associations and is a member of American Bar Association.

Mehmet M. Gençoğlu

Mehmet M. Gençoğlu is a licensed attorney admitted within the Istanbul Bar of the Turkish Bars Association. In his education years in Ankara University, Mr. Gençoğlu founded and presided the Moot Court Society and ILSA, Ankara Chapter. Accordingly, he served on the Ankara Law Journal and organized several panels, symposiums, and workshops. Mr. Gençoğlu attended the 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th and 25th Vis Moot Law Competitions and many Pre-moots as an arbitrator and also as a team member and a team coach of the Ankara University Team. Mr. Gençoğlu also has a passion for commerce. He is he is the board member of Gençoğlu Group Inc., and has worked in several fields of domestic and international trade.

Burçin Gözlüklü, Ph.D.

Burçin Gözlüklü serves as the managing director of Centrum Sworn-In Financial Advisory and Consulting since the beginning of 2015. Burçin worked as a tax inspector within the Turkish Ministry of Finance Tax Inspectors Board for 10 years. Beginning from the mid-2008, he was appointed as the Secretary General of the Turkish Accounting Standards Board (now named as Public Oversight Board), and took the role of adopting the international accounting standards (IFRS/IASs) into Turkish legislation for 3 years. During this period, he participated as a member in the Asian – Oceanian Standard Setters Group (AOSSG) and as an observer member in the World Standard Setters (WSS) Group. He took an active role in drafting the new Turkish Commercial Code (TCC) and represented Turkey with respect to accounting and auditing related regulations of the new TCC during the negotiation process of the EU Acquis.

Experience in Private Sector:

He left office in public sector in 2010, and took office as the Auditing Group Coordinator of Koc Holding Inc., which is the biggest conglomerate and the only Top 250 Fortune’s Global Listing company in Turkey with nearly 190 companies and 50 billion dollars of annual gross turnover. During the last three years period until his participation to Centrum, Burçin served as the tax management coordinator of Koc companies responsible from the tax advisory and management of the group firms.

Associations:

He acted as a member in TUSIAD (Turkish Industry and Business Association) Sub-Working Committee on Intellectual Property Rights during the period 2011-2014 and as a TUSIAD representative in the Public Oversight Board’s Accounting Standards Review Committees between 2011 and 2013.

He has been serving as the executive board member of the International Financial Management Association of Turkey since 2013.

Burçin received his BA degree in Business Administration from the Middle East Technical University, Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences. Burcin also received his Phd degree in “Accounting & Finance” from Başkent University Academy of Administrative and Social Sciences.

Mahmut Eyüboğlu

Mahmut Eyüboğlu started to work at a Legal500 law firm in 2011, when he was in the fourth grade in Bilkent University. After graduating the Faculty of Law, Mr. Eyuboglu continued to work in the same law firm as trainee. After the one-year compulsory traineeship Mr. Eyuboglu was admitted to the Istanbul Bar. Mr. Eyuboglu worked as an In-House lawyer in a Turkish Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) company for two years.

On December 2015, he established his own law firm Eyuboglu & Buyukatak.

Mr. Eyuboglu acts for various domestic and foreign investors in real estate market, include real estate investments companies, landowners, developers and lenders. He focuses his practice on corporate law, landlord-tenant law, litigation and land registry transactions process. He also advises his clients on Urban-Renewal Law in Turkey.

He is fluent in English.

Aytuğ Büyükatak

Aytuğ Büyükatak is a graduate of Cankaya University, Ankara. He has completed his one-year compulsory traineeship under the supervision of the President of Union of Turkish Bar Association and had his LLM in Rotterdam Erasmus Universiteit in the Netherlands. After working as a legal counsel of a state owned Petroleum Distribution Company in Ankara, he decided to move to Istanbul and joined a Legal500 law firm. Aytug is a lawyer since 2009.

On December 2015, Aytug Established his own law firm Eyuboglu & Buyukatak.

Aytug is advising various individual and corporate clients mostly from the Gulf region investing in real estate in Turkey. His expertise includes real property acquisitions for his clients, project development structuring and zoning issues. He has been involved in almost all types of real estate deals run by our firm. Real estate acquisitions led by Aytug during 2013 have a value of more than USD 20 million. He is currently working on his PhD thesis at the Istanbul Kultur University. Aytug is a member of The Hague Academy of Private International Law.

Aytug speaks fluent Dutch and English and has basic skills in German.
