Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim M. ADAM

Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim M. ADAM admitted to bar in 1976. Education: LL.B (hons) University of Khartoum, 1974; Ph.D. University of Aberdeen (U.K.) 1992. Author of “The Perceived Problems in the Utilization of Letters of Credits, A Comparative Study,” doctoral thesis. The law firm was founded in 1982 by Dr.Adam. Dr. Adam brings a varied and very successful background to his legal practice. Prior to forming his own law firm, Dr.Adam served in the Sudan as a judge and legal counsel at the Attorney General Chambers. Dr. Adam worked as senior legal counsel at the Commercial Registrar General Office through which all applications for patents, trademarks, industrial designs, copyright and other intellectual property matters used to proceed to the stage of securing a grant, and hence registration. He also served as general counsel to a number of major domestic and multi-national companies in Saudi Arabia, including Alsalam Aircraft Company a joint venture between Boeing group and Saudi Airlines and other partners. He served as legal counsel for ISCOSA, a subsidiary of SIMENS WESHINGHOUSE. He served as legal counsel for Al Baraka Dallah Group, one of the major banking and investment institutions and NIC, a joint stock company having international activities with about forty (40) subsidiaries. Dr. Adam also acted as consultant for leading Saudi law offices and is a member of the Sudanese Bar and the International Bar Association.

Tayeb Hassabo

Managing Partner of the Firm. Tayeb Hassabo received his LLB. From the University of Khartoum ,1986. He is specialized in business laws, international commerce, international procurement agreements, telecommunication, distribution and agency agreements, acquisition and merger of companies, with good experience in intellectual property. Mr. Hassabo has gained extensive experience in the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the GCC States through a period of 13 years of work in Dubai.

Fawzia El-Amin

One of the experienced Sudanese lawyers with tremendous career history. Upon her graduation from the Faculty of Law University of Khartoum in 1974, she joined the Attorney General’s Chamber (Now the Ministry of Justice) from (1976 – 1991), and was assigned to the civil, criminal and commercial registrations departments. Afterwards, she became a private practicing lawyer and oath commissioner from (1992 – 2001), and by the end of 2001 she re-joined the Ministry of Justice to serve in the legislative and contracts sections, and then seconded to the National Electricity Corporation (NEC) from (2003 – 2010). From (2010 – 2011) she was selected as the head of the translation department at the Ministry of Justice. Upon that, she was appointed as the head of the legal administration in the Ministry of Water Resources, Irrigation and Electricity from (2011 – 2016) where she worked alongside the Nuclear Power Generation Unit, and the renewable Energy departments with all the matters concerning contractual negotiations and drafting.

Ms El-Amin was an associated member in the program held in Vienna by the United Nations concerning insolvency out-boundaries in 2010, and she represented Sudanese government in the course of drafting regulations regarding the first Nuclear Power Plant in Sudan which was also held in Vienna in 2012. In addition to representing the authorities in drafting and negotiating contracts with the People’s Republic of China. She is an associated member in the Common Authority of the River Nile since the year 2013. She was also a member in the Pan-Arab Electrical Market where she represented the Sudanese government in reviewing and revising the Electrical interconnection agreements which where sponsored through the Arab League and the World Bank since the year 2012. Currently she’s acting as a member of the English version of Sudanese laws volumes revision committee.
