Bertomeu Lawyers is a local Spanish Lawyers Firm founded in 1990 by two brothers, Juan Bertomeu and Antonio Bertomeu, with the main office in Moraira and two delegations in Denia, Alicante North. Joaquín Sales

Joaquín Sales advises banks, financial institutions and funds, as well as corporations, on all kinds of financing transactions – project finance, acquisition finance, corporate and asset finance – as well as on structured finance transactions and securitisation deals, both domestic and international.

Advising the European Investment Bank on the financing of 2 portfolios of wind farms in Spain (total installed capacity of 194MW), partially backed by a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).

He provides guidance to commercial banks, multilateral banks, funds and corporations in the energy, infrastructure and capital markets sectors.

Within the TMT sector, Carmen has advised Carlyle on the acquisition of Telecable, Rakuten on the acquisition of Spanish streaming and video on demand business Wuaki.tv, Permira on its acquisition of online travel agency eDreams, and then on its acquisition in consortium with Axa Private Equity of online travel agency Opodo and on the combination of eDreams, Opodo and Go Voyages, the underwriters in relation to the capital increase of leading Spanish company Telecinco, Belgacom on the disposal of its Spanish IT company Telindus and Capio AB on the disposal of its Spanish business (the leading operator of hospitals in Spain) to CVC.
