Dr. Najem Alzaid

Najem Alzaid has vast experience advising both private and public entities on capital markets, corporate law, regulations, legislation, and public policy.

Najem sits on the board of the National Centre for Privatization & PPP (representing the private sector) and the Saudi Electricity Company (representing the Public Investment Fund). He is also a member of the Tadawul regulatory policies and oversight committee.

Prior to joining Z.S&R, Najem served as a commissioner and board member of the Saudi Capital Market Authority (CMA) for two and a half years following his appointment by a Royal Order.

As commissioner of the Capital Markets Authority, Najem chaired a number of committees including the steering committee for the Application of the New Companies Law; Chairmen (or equivalent) of Securities Authorities in the Gulf Cooperation Council Committee (2016); working group for the development of the Committee for the Resolution of Securities Disputes; and Working Group for the Classification of the Capital Market Law and its Implementing Regulations Violations.

Majed Garoub is the founder/Chairman of The Law Firm of Majed M. Garoub and the Saudi Law Training Centre. He is a member of many international and local legal entities such as the American Bar Associa- tion (ABA) the International Bar Association (IBA) and the Anti-Commercial Fraud Committee (ACFC). Majed Garoub is the Consular to the president of the International Union of lawyers; and a member at the Arab Arbitration Group initiated by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

He is the president of the Law Firm of Majed M. Garoub (LFMG) in both Jeddah and Riyadh, and he is the Head of the Saudi Law Training Center (SLTC). Majed Garoub, lawyer, is a member of the Scientific Committee of Reconciliation and Arbitration at the Arab-French Chamber of Commerce, and the deputy president of the Arab chamber of arbitration and reconciliation. Therefore, he was appointed as arbitrator and representative of several governmental agencies and international commercial companies. Thereupon, he was known as “The Youngest Arab Arbitrator, specialized in International Commercial Arbitration”. For all the aforementioned expertise in arbitration he has been selected to join the Arbitration Consulting Committee at the Saudi Ministry of Justice.

He is fluent in both Arabic and English.

Suhaib joined Hammad, Al-Mehdar & Co in 2011. He earned his LLB from the International Islamic University in Malaysia in 2008. After working for nearly a year in the interim, he then obtained an LLM from the University of Miami in 2010 specialising in International Business Law. Antoine Cousin

Antoine Cousin is a partner in the Riyadh office, specialising in Energy and Infrastructure Projects, PPPs, Construction, Competitive Tenders and Joint Ventures.

Antoine has extensive experience of the following sectors, on behalf of both private sponsors and governments: Power Generation (conventional and nuclear), Water (production, desalination, distribution, wastewater treatment) and Transportation (airports, rail, ports, roads). He has also advised on projects in the fields of Urban Services and Social Infrastructure (healthcare, waste management, district heating) and Real Estate (urban development, land reclamation, hotel management).
