Jeannine graduated Doctor of Laws from the University of Malta in November 2003 and became a warranted lawyer in 2004 after completing her internship period. In 2004 she also successfully completed the course and acquired the Foundation Certificate in Trust Law and Management. Additionally, she also has a Diploma in Taxation which she obtained in 2011.

After graduating she commenced by practicing in the domestic courts primarily in the Family Court, First Hall and Small Claims Tribunal. She was then engaged as legal advisor to the Minister for Family and Social Solidarity the Ministry for Education, Culture, Youths and Sports where she was involved in the drafting of legislation and also gained valuable and relevant experience in, inter alia, the domestic laws regulating social security, family law, housing and culture.

After working with other law firms in the areas related to financial services with a focus on company and tax law, trusts, foundations and wealth management and capital markets. Together with her partners they have set up the firm LexPractis. The corporate arm of the firm LexPractis Limited is also licensed with the Malta Financial Services Authority.
