Attorney – Managing Partner

Attorney-at-Law and Tax Expert, Theodore Hoegah has over 35 years of work experience, out of which, 11 years in international audit firms (Arthur Andersen, KPMG, and PWC).

He holds a Ph.D. in Private Law and was, previously, Associate Professor in charge of teaching business law (taxation, corporate & commercial law, civil law, accounting law…) for more than 15 years in University of Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire).

Theodore mainly advises international companies and has been involved in cases related to some of the biggest mining projects in Côte d’Ivoire, privatization and public-private partnership transactions.

Theodore was a key- Tax Expertin the amendment of the current Côte d’Ivoire’s General Tax Code and was chairman, for more than ten years, of the Social, Training and Employment Committee of Côte d’Ivoire’s main Employers Union (“CGECI”).

He is currently Chairman of the Joint Committee for the Private Sector – Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Theodore is also handling the position of director in various companies and private organizations.

He is Officer of the National Order of Côte d’Ivoire and Commander of the Order of Merit of National Education.

Léon is a member of the Ivory Coast Bar since 1988 and has a professional experience of more than 30 years. He is currently a member of the Council of Bar Association of Côte d’Ivoire.

He has a broad expertise in company creation, negotiation and contracts drafting, maritime law, litigation and arbitration, seizure of vessels, air law and land transport facilitation law, the Economic and Monetary Union of West African States known as UEMOA, community law.
