Mishbah is a corporate lawyer practicing at the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, and is the Managing Partner of Old Bailey Chambers, Dhaka. He obtained his LL.B (Hons) and Post Graduate Degree in Law from the United Kingdom, and was called to the Bar of England and Wales from Lincoln’s Inn in March 2005. Mishbah later on pursued an LL.M Degree in Competition Law at the Kings College, London.

Mishbah has also served as an IPR Consultant to the Access to Information Program, Prime Minister’s Office, Bangladesh, and currently serves as a Member to the Anti Piracy Taskforce functioning under the Ministry of Cultural Affairs.

Badrud Doulah

Perhaps the major contribution of Mr. Doulah for Bangladesh legal sector was his achievements at his role of lead local counsel in the Financial Sector Reform Programme under appointment from the World Bank in 1996. The Financial Sector Reform Program was adopted with a view to ensuring the effective role of the financial sector in the economic development of the country through structural and policy change. The project was instrumental in redesigning the banking regulatory platform and regulations of Bangladesh. He also drafted the Bankruptcy Act, 1997 under this project. He was the team leader of the team participating in World Bank’s Corporate Governance Assessment Project 2008 and Impediments to International Integration Project-2007.

He has acted in many international and domestic transactions as well. Badrud Doulah, a senior lawyer and holding post-graduate degrees in Laws and Education, founded the firm in 1965 under the name “Doulah & Doulah” with the assistance of his father the Late Mr. M. A. Rahman, who was formerly an Assistant Editor of The Hindustan Times, New Delhi. In 1973 he was joined in partnership by his younger brother Mr. A.B.M. Shamsud Doulah.

Although the firm started as a general civil law firm, it expanded with specialization in the areas of shipping, banking, investment and commercial and general civil law practice.
