Alban Çaushi

Alban Çaushi, has more than 21 years of professional experience as an attorney at law both in Albania and Kosovo, in private commercial practice, focusing his expertise on energy, infrastructure, real estate, dispute resolution, employment and telecommunications.

His former experience includes being a senior partner of a leading Albanian law firm where he led the energy, infrastructure and litigation department during the last 15 years. As partner in charge of dispute resolution he has represented prominent domestic and international companies in civil and administrative actions before the local courts and in numerous local and international arbitrations.

Ilirjan Celibashi

Mr. Ilirjan Celibashi graduated as a lawyer from the University of Tirana, in 1992. In July of 1992, he started his career as a judge with the District Court of Fier and in December of the same year, he was promoted Chair of the District Court of Mallakaster, a position which he held until January 1998. In January 1998, he was appointed Judge with the Court of Appeal, Durres. In October of this year, he was appointed deputy minister of Public Order. He held this position until December of the same year, when he was released from duty. In February of 1999, he was again appointed Judge of the Court of Appeal of Durres. He served in this position until 2001. In February 2001, following a nomination of the National Judicial Conference, the High Council of Justice elected Mr. Celibashi member of the Central Election Commission (CEC). By the same time, he was elected Chair of the CEC, a position he held until April 2006, when his mandate was terminated. Under the leadership of Mr. Celibashi, the CEC prepared and administered elections to the National Assembly of 2001 and 2005, and local government elections of 2003. The election of 2005, marked for the first time since 1992, a peaceful, constitutional and legal rotation of power.

Following that, in May 2006, he was the co-founder of the “CC Law Office” a legal consulting firm which he directed until January 2013. In the elections for the National Assembly of June 23, 2013 Ilirjan Celibashi was elected to the National Assembly. In September of the same year, he was appointed Minister for Relations with the Parliament, in the government of the Prime Minister, Edi Rama.

Since November 2014 he is working for his legal office “CC Law Office”.

He speaks Albanian (native), English and Italian.
