Farmida Bi Featured in Top Executives List

Baker McKenzie Named Best Firm for Women in Law

The Women in Law Awards launched in 2011 to recognise the achievements of women lawyers and the diversity agenda in legal work from firms across the globe.

Multinational law firm Baker McKenzie took home three awards at Euromoney’s European Women in Business Law 20120 event last night, including overall Best International Firm for Women in Business Law for the fourth year running.

Baker McKenzie is a multinational law firm headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. Founded in 1949 as Baker & McKenzie, it has 77 offices in 46 countries, and over 6000 lawyers worldwide. It is one of the largest law firms in the world by headcount and revenue.

The awards, which took place virtually this year, due to COVID-19, recognise individual lawyers at the top of their chosen fields, and firms that have shown outstanding commitment to the development of women in the legal profession.

COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Most people infected with the virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Baker McKenzie was also named Best International Firm for Gender Diversity, and Corinne Schot, Managing Partner of the Firm’s Amsterdam office, was named Structured Finance and Securitisation lawyer of the year.
