Akihiro is a partner at Midosuji LPC. He is an Attorney-at Law admitted in Japan and New York. His practice focuses on commercial transactions, corporate governance and compliance. He also has considerable experience on and expertise in dispute resolution, antitrust and competition law, and restructuring and bankruptcy. He has handled various competition law cases, including international cartel investigations and merger controls regarding cross-border M&A. In addition to provision of general corporate and commercial advice, his practice in the field of corporate governance and compliance covers specific legal issues such as those of FCPA and GDPR. He has also handled a variety of dispute resolutions including actions for damages under the Montreal Convention 1999 on behalf of overseas airlines.
